ACS SSR App Reviews

The ACSPBLS app is a great way to be able to enter cases into your iPhone or iTouch. I have been looking for this for some time. The previous app was only available for the Palm operating system. My Palm died, and so did my case log. There are a couple of obvious improvements for the next version. It would be very nice if the date of surgery would default to Today, so that I dont have to keep entering it. Support for a hotlist, or most commonly used list would greatly increase efficiency. It is very difficult to look up CPT codes, and essentially assumes that you know the codes. I guess that is ok, but it required me to place a CPT book at my dictation station. I probably use 20 to 25 CPT codes 85 % of the time. Thats why the hotlist would be great. Overall, I think it is a great app. I am trying to make entering my cases a routine after I dictate. This app really helps.

I have been looking forward to this since I saw the announcement on ACS website. Honestly, somewhat disappointed. I spent several hours inputting data since Jan 1 and when I did a sync, got numerous duplicate entries. I tried deleting, revising to no avail. It seemed to get worse. I hope they fix this bug.

Does not seem to work with iPad. It does not allow the user to input the username and password on the first screen. Those fields are not accessible or able to be typed in.

The application functions, but it is much faster to enter cases on the website, especially with the duplicate case feature. Entering data on the iPhone is too time consuming, especially dates. I really liked the Palm application which was faster than the web but was forced to get something else when my Treo fell from a height of 3 feet.

I actually find it much easier to enter cases with this app than on a computer. This app however has not been working since I upgraded to the 4.0 version.

I called ACS who confirmed that this version is not compatible with iPhone os4. Kind of annoying.

This app is great for updating your case log, but I find myself frequently "saving" in the middle of entering data, otherwise the app crashes and I need to start over again. It is pretty unstable. If it were more stable and I could enter data quickly without fear of it crashing I would up it to 4 stars. If it had features like "hotlists" for frequently used CPT and ICD codes I would up it to 5 stars. Also it should default to todays date so you dont have to enter it.

Does what its supposed to do. Needs to pull settings from the web data base, like locations and hot list. I had no problem with duplicates. Its much faster to use than the Internet. It needs a better CPT/ICD 9 search function. It would work better if there was a landscape mode. Then, at least, you could read the results. Later version does crash a great deal. I am using it a lot less because I have redo my work often as it crashes when I try to save....

After the latest update, the app no longer starts. I get a circle that goes around about 270 degrees and the app crashes. No response from the developer so far. Previous versions have worked very well. Hope this gets fixes ASAP.

Nice app but it crashes and looses all the data. Very frustrating.

A necessary but still poorly executed app. I was on the earliest beta team and after 3 years my suggestions and corrections were not implemented. Still no landscape mode.

Frequent crashes, loses data. Too unreliable for case entry, worthless in its current state. Fix this app please!!

Useful for entering cases on the fly. The crash problem solved. Wish modifiers included in the iPhone and iPad apps.

Thanks for the latest update. I like the auto caps feature for names, and the password only acsess instead of entering user name each time

Program was great until it recently updated. Now it wont sync with server anymore

Now crashes when trying to sync cases. Every time.

Unable to open apps either

Quit syncing a week ago even though I havent upgraded to iOS 8 yet. I emailed support and only got an auto reply. After a week, no help. I have rebooted, reinstalled, etc. My workflow is at a standstill. Over time this app has been problematic, but has been fine for last couple of years until now.
